DIY Safety Tips

Both lifestyle and budget can be determining factors when it comes to selecting the type of kitchen countertops you want. We’ll help you find the material that’s right for you. All surfaces from Beautiful Kitchens & Bath are built to withstand your everyday life, while still making a style statement. Some of our most popular kitchen counter materials include:
1. Use the proper tool for the designated task and have them before starting. Be sure to check that all tools are working properly, including safety features.

2. Follow manufacturers recommendations to avoid injury to you and your warranty

3. Wear protective equipment that is intended for the particular task:
  • Safety glasses
  • Ear protection (tile cutting, demo work)
  • Hardhats (during demo)
4. Clean Up Often & Stay Organized to avoid injuring yourself and/or damaging new materials

5. Team lift to avoid straining your back and damaging your new purchases

6. Move as you work; never overreach, as you can lose your balance and fall

7. Sit down when working at lower levels to avoid unnecessary strain on joints

8. Take short breaks often to clear your head… and because you deserve it!

9. Consult an expert when you’re in over your head. Mistakes can be costly to your wallet and well-being! Give us a call and we'll give you a hand

Important Things to Consider
